Hello, ladies and gentlemen! :)
When I was 9, on a gloomy rainy day, my father told me about his youth and how he used to write letters to a pen-friend in English and got postcards from him.
And I said: dad, there are girls like me in another countries, could I write letters to them, too? If only I knew where to write to and how to write in English!
So, my dad got me some magazine for teenagers where we found some ads from my peers living abroad and having the same wish to exchange letters.
So... My father got me an English teacher who taught me how to write letters. I remember my first book and the first word that I learned and wrote, which was “a koodo”. :)
This is how my journey started – the Big Journey into the Kingdom of English. And I've made this journey my profession.
I graduated from the university and I have Master's degree in English language and literature.
Many of my teachers came from the United Kingdom, which helped me acquire very good pronunciation and taught me a lot of things about the country.
I also did CELTA course at British Council last year, which contributed to my teaching skills greatly.
Do you work or study?
Do you remember how you started learning English?
Do you enjoy learning it? What do you find the most difficult when you learn – reading, listening, speaking or writing?
Do you have any pen-friends? Do you need it for university or career?
Do you have a dream?
