📌 my main rule is to teach my students an authentic language and give a sense of how the language works🗣
📌 real Russian instead of unuseful phrases which you'll never use in real conversation💬
📌 I'm a patient and student-oriented teacher🤗
📌 Russian for absolute beginners (A0-A2+):
• phonetic course: learning the alphabet, setting the pronunciation, learning how to read and write
• learning all the basic grammar rules consistently
• visual aids (
after this course, you will no longer think that Russian is difficult because everything will be in its place in your head. you'll learn Russian from the basics to the confident A2 level. the course has a strong topic order so you won't be confused by unfamiliar rules, your studying will be logical and consistent. I create a pdf presentation for every lesson according to your needs. I use different materials from textbooks, topics, presentations, audio and video files to make your learning easier and more effective. I focus on grammar, but I guarantee the quality of learning.

📌 Conversational Practice (A2+ — C1):
☕️ in this course, I suggest you some kind of «coffee house talk».
•we talk, but you speak most of the time
•for every lesson I prepare a topic, but you can set it in case you have a wish to discuss something
• we can watch some videos/read articles with the further discussion
I will ask you clarifying questions or ask your opinion to support the dialogue. at the end of the lesson, I correct mistakes (pronunciation, grammar, lexis, etc). this variant is the best if your goal is a fluent spoken language. for this course, you should have some grammar and lexical knowledge.
🔍 also, if you want to improve your skills first, I can offer you a bit more 'academical' option for this course.
here you get speaking practice plus reading texts, doing some grammar exes, etc. this variant is more educational.
🙋🏻♀️ I often hear from my students that they have conversations with native speakers but never get corrected. as a fellow language learner, I recognise how frustrating this can be and sympathise entirely. therefore, you will receive corrections and feedback frequently throughout the class with me as your conversation partner. my role is to make sure you get the most speaking practice possible, by prompting you with questions and ideas and letting the conversation flow naturally. you will improve your spoken Russian and find out what we mean by "yes no probably", "yes of course" and why "pancake" is not a dish.
✏️ I started teaching Russian when I was a student at a multinational university. it was just a hobby, which now has become my job. I graduated with an RFL course and got a qualification as a professional teacher.
👩🏻🏫 during my teaching practice, I faced the problem that students don't understand how the Russian language works. many of them speak "non-Russian" Russian. therefore, I've made a course after which you will never speak an inauthentic and 'strange' language. there's no secret - it's just a correct topic order and explanation of rules.
my teaching style takes a student-centred approach, encouraging creativity and personal expression as much as possible. this method makes it easier for you to retain the language you learn, as the more creative and personalised the Russian you use is, the more likely you are to remember it.
I try to bring positivity and humour to each of my lessons. that will allow you to feel comfortable and relaxed. I like to craft each lesson according to your needs and take into account your interests in the language.

RUTH TYMay 9, 2022 I have learned Russian with Faina as a beginner from October 2020 until now. She is a good teacher that she prepared every lesson according to my level and progress. She gives exercises to me to practise which is very good and helpful. She is very patient and willing to explain those concepts that I am not clear and mix up easily. Фиана, Большое спасибо за терпение и профессию. Anonymous May 18, 2021 I was a little lost at the genitive plural form at the beginning, but your explanation and the notes were super useful. I found it was not that difficult when doing the homework. Thanks.
