I am yogi Serene. I am 40+ years old and have been doing yoga since my early twenties. I love flow and mobility exercises. Once the "flow" or "zone" is achieved in body and mind, I find that I engage in my movements naturally and effortlessly. It is like my body and mind are one. From experience, I find that I am able to build agility, flexibility and stamina more easily then. I am also a meditator and a nature enthusiast. I advocate for authentic living and being authentic and honest with myself.
I think that what makes us human is our ability to feel and intentionally connect to our body with the purpose to live our full potential. When we can wholly accept our body, only then we can live in gratitude. This in turn empowers us to break boundaries and challenge ourselves. When we do, we not only become fitter but authentic to ourselves. Staying true to ourselves will bring us inner peace.
In yogi Serene's class, you will engage in:
1. Deep breathing
2. Somatic awareness of your body and its physical sensations
3. General mobility & flow movement (MFM)
4. Targeted MFM exercises for specific health issues or body part which you want to work on
5. Cooling down exercises with light stretching and contracting movement
6. The lesson ends with a short meditation session where you check in with your body.
7. Fitness goal-setting for the next lesson if you decide to continue for lessons.
Be relaxed and come as yourself during our lesson. I have no expectations of you as a student for I believe everyone is different and unique. I am curious about you as a student, and more so as a fellow human being.
