Who is professor Joey? I am a University professor specialised in teaching communicative and professional English. I am a polyglot. My native language is English, Arabic, and French. I also know some Japanese and German. Educational background? I have many degrees because i love to learn as much as a i love to teach: 1 professional licence in English studies 1 TEFL certificate 1 master degree in Teaching English as a foreign language 1 master degree in Language, literature, and civilizations. Experience as a teacher? I became a teacher when i was 20 years old. I have taught for 5 years in different countries and in different levels: elementary school, middle school, high school, university, and special classes. I also do in person home tutoring classes where i teach students that have challenges during class. On top of that i started working online a year ago so i can learn how to be a better teacher for international students. Future Goals ? My goals for the future is to be a university professor in Taiwan, china, or UK. I would like to open my own English school in real life. I would like to get a CELTA degree. I also would love to get the QTS (Qualified teacher certificate) and PGCE so i can teach in the UK. I would like to create an online website where my students can go and practice their English independently after class. What courses do i teach? I teach courses that my students ask to learn. I change and make my courses better using my student requests and feed back. At the beginning i taught only conversation English courses. Then i received requests from my students who asked for vocabulary courses so i developed vocabulary lessons and exercises for all levels. After, i received requests from some of my students to learn how to pronounce words so i created reading and listening courses. Then some students told me that keeping up conversation is hard so i created courses for guided conversation. Later on i received requests from directors and managers asking for help with their presentations so i helped them with that and developed my business English course. My courses vary significantly because i try my best to make courses that help each specific student. So feel free to tell me what you want to learn, in case i don't have a course ready for you i will create one after the trial lesson. How is my class? My class is a very low stress environment. I would love if you can see me as your native English friend who is here to talk and help you learn better rather than a teacher. I am very friendly and try my best to be involved in my students lives and careers and dreams. Lesson booking? I allow my students to book when ever they want. Since i work at a university and in real life too as a tutor my time slots might be limited but i try my best to give as many classes as possible to my students. In case my students are not capable of coming to the classroom , they have to inform me before the start of the class. In that case i will give back the class to them so they can book again. If i am not informed many times i will mark the class as finished.
