🎓Welcome to Pronunciation University! 🎓 My name is Brock. I am a free-thinker and world traveler. 🌏 I love to share my travel experiences, via video, with the world. This is my hobby. Interesting facts: I have visited 17 countries within one single year - and have traveled to about 28 countries, in total. I have made so many friends from all over the world. ✈️ In 2017, I decided to fly to Vietnam 🇻🇳 and teach English for about 10 months. It was a very interesting experience. My experience in Vietnam was rather extensive. I have taught Doctors, Pharmacists, and Nurses for many months. I have also taught over 2,000 students from ages 7-20 in a classroom. 🇹🇼🇭🇰 In 2023, I flew to Taiwan and Hong Kong to meet many of my students in person. Definitely a fun experience! I love meeting people from all over the world and legitimately enjoy helping people improve their English skills! ⚠️UPDATE: I am currently away from my desk. I will return sometime in 2025...however, I'm not sure which month. You are always welcome to message me to find a more accurate date. But most likely, I will return around October of 2025. As some of you may already know, I highly recommend to schedule all of your classes in advance, as my schedule fills up very quick! I can't stress this enough! 🎯 My goal is to help you reduce your accent within the shortest time possible. We will do the following: ✅ Learn the 12 most important sounds and tongue positions in English + a few more, and how to properly speak them. ✅ I will determine the other sounds that you need help with and will teach you how to properly speak them. ✅ Homework: Practice these specific sounds at home for a minimum of 20 minutes per day. ✅ Practice reading together while using the new sounds. ----- 🧑🏼‍💻 In the trial class, we will go through the 1st stage of pronunciation, so you can see how this process works. 🧑🏼‍💻 In the 1st 50-minute class, we will go through 6 major sounds together. 🧑🏼‍💻 In the 2nd 50-minute class, we will go through more major sounds together. 🧑🏼‍💻 In the 3rd 50-minute class, we will learn 12 additional sounds and tongue placements together (usually easier, so we can move quicker). 🧑🏼‍💻 In the 4th 50-minute class, we will go through the basics of english stress / intonation. This is an interesting class. 🧑🏼‍💻 In the 5th 50-minute class, and every class beyond that, we will start reading together. You will take a screenshot of each reading session so you know exactly what your problems still are, and exactly what you need to practice before the next class begins. 🤓Reading with me and practicing the new tongue positions and sounds is, in my opinion, the absolute best way to reduce your accent. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition! 💪🏼 I have helped people from all over the world reduce their accent. CEO's, CFO's, Company Presidents, Celebrities, Doctors, Nurses, Economic Trend Analysts, Bankers, Government employees, People living abroad, people wanting to live abroad, middle school students, university graduates preparing to enter the workforce, and many more. If you have teeth, lips, and a tongue, I can definitely help🦷👄😛 To see the most benefits and positive changes, 20 classes is recommended. Most students start to see changes after about the 5th reading class. Remember, you, like many others, have been speaking english with an accent for many years. To see changes, it takes a bit of time and effort. My goal is to hold your hand through this entire process. 👍🏼 📚 I primarily teach students ages 12 and above. I enjoy teaching students who are eager to learn! The only 'homework' I will give you, will be to practice. If you are serious about practicing, you WILL have good results. If you don't practice the sounds that I give you, your results will not be as good as what you are hoping for. That is a fact. 🤯 I have had countless students who had an extremely strong accent, and after taking 20 lessons with me, they were able to reduce their accent dramatically, and sound so much more like an American. The transformations were almost unbelievable. Why were they so successful? 1) Because they were very motivated and eager to change their accent. 2) They didn't make excuses about practicing 20-30 minutes per day. 🙃 To be honest, my lessons aren't very difficult. Do not worry. ----- Side note: ❗️A 25-minute trial lesson is expected. And 50-minute lessons are required after the trial class. 25-minute lessons will not be accepted. 📍The 1st time that a student cancels a class less than 12 hours before the scheduled time, I will allow the student to reschedule. The 2nd time, I will offer a 50% refund. The 3rd time, I will offer no refund. Please reschedule more than 12 hours before your class. 🙏🏼 After completing the first few lessons of English sounds, our lessons will become quite laid back.
