💐 A Mom’s Little Story 💐
I still remember when my baby was only 3 months old, and I had only been a "mom" for 13 months. My baby was struggling with heat rashes, and every article online emphasized how babies are afraid of heat. So, ignoring my own health, I blasted the AC every day, coughing while taking care of him.
At first, he slept well. But a month later, he started crying and tossing at night. It wasn't until my mother-in-law wrapped him snugly in a thick blanket and he fell into a peaceful sleep that I realized... "Wait, babies can feel cold too?" 🤣 Looking back, the things that felt like "the end of the world" then are now just precious, tiny memories.
Now, my baby is 1.5 years old 💖.
When I say "Wait a second," he starts counting: "1, 2, 3... 5, 6, 7, 8, 10!" (Yes, he skips 9! 😆). He has learned to pick up a brush to doodle or grab a book to "read" when he’s bored. These past few days, he said "No" for the first time.
I am amazed and excited! I’ve prepared Emotional Intelligence and Behavioral picture books, looking forward to our reading time together.
I am not a 100-point mom, so my baby doesn’t need to be 100 points either. We level up and grow together. Not only is the baby happy, but I am also "re-parenting" myself.
