馃挰 ADVANCED GRAMMAR 馃挰
I teach ADVANCED students worldwide including China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, France, Germany, Iran, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Puerto Rico. The one thing they all have in common is... grammar mistakes!
I commonly review these parts of grammar with even my most advanced students:
鈼硷笍 Conditionals
鈼硷笍 Modal Verbs
鈼硷笍 Prepositions
鈼硷笍 Advanced Verb Tenses
鈼硷笍 Reported Speech
The program I use to teach advanced grammar includes a personal learning plan, digital English lessons, and homework assignments. Most lessons include speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills. We can combine grammar classes with conversation.
馃挰 ONE-ON-ONE CONVERSATION 馃挰
A common English expression I remind my students is 'practice makes perfect'. One-on-one conversation classes are a perfect learning environment for practicing your English skills and boosting your confidence.
Do you prefer free talk or topic-based discussion like culture, lifestyle, global issues, technology, or daily news? It's your choice!
馃憖 TED TALKS 馃憖
TED Talks are a great way to improve your English skills and learn something new. They are easier than podcasts. You can see the speaker and read the subtitles.
I encourage my students to watch TV with subtitles. We can do this together, using TED Talks. We will pause the video and check your understanding of vocabulary and expressions.
馃憖 NPR PODCASTS 馃憖
For my highest-level students, I use NPR Podcasts. Prepare for a challenge! You will need to listen intently and take notes!
NPR is short for National Public Radio. It has been 'on air' in the United States for over 50 years.
In this class, you will choose a subject. We will listen to it together, pausing every few sentences to review vocabulary and expressions. You won't have access to the transcripts, so you must focus on the conversation. If you aren't being tested, I will be surprised. I am a native speaker and I learn new things every time!
