Hello my name is Terry English, I am a South African living in Thailand and teaching English at a private school in a small town. Since I was a child I have wanted to be a teacher. Firstly, I’m passionate about my students. I make it my priority to develop positive and trusting relationships with all of them, I feel this is very important. I absolutely love teaching and being an important part of different cultures. When it comes to my student’s interest I always try base my examples in lessons on their interests this way they are actively involved and always engaged. I teach young students ages 4-9 years old so energetic lessons are very important, I give my students love, respect and fun filled lessons, in return I get the same from them and I absolutely love it, teaching is not a job to me, it’s my passion. Before teaching English I completed my TESOL course and received my TESOL certificate, I also have a Diploma in Food and Beverage Management, I spent a few years in Hospitality, I love food and watching people get joy from a meal that I have prepared for them, it was also great to be able to meet new people every day. Other thing s I enjoy doing in my free time is reading books, doing yoga, meditating and being outdoors creating new adventures. Teaching English is so much fun, I love to watch my students grow and see their improvement after time, it is the most amazing feeling when you meet a student that knows little to no English and after some time they can have a full conversation in English with you. I love children and feel so blessed to be able to be a part of their journey. I look forward to meeting you soon.
