Hello everyone! Ever wonder why you could ace an English test yet went blank when an English speaking person asked you something as simple as "what's up"? That is because acquiring a second language needs a real-life practice rather than sticking to the conventional text-book learning! I, a native Taiwanese had been a second language learner in English and currently learning Japanese now. I believe that to be able to get better in speaking a language is to get out of the comfort zone and immerse yourself in the environment of your targeted language. By having lessons with me, you can learn in the most authentic way through casual talk (daily conversation) or discuss about topics (on news or on drama) that interests you! From my experience in learning and teaching a language, I strongly believe that language is a tool to connect with people and the world around us. It is truly a key to open your door to the world! And to master the tool, you’ll have to step out of the text book world and practice using them in the real world. So, in my online lesson, it will be conversation based talking about things that interest you. I can also design activities that involve 3 other skills like reading, writing, and listening. I’m good at lesson planning and making interactive lessons. We can set goals and study plans together that meet your need. After I earned my master degree, I then moved to Japan to teach English. I taught conversational English to high school students for 5 years. In Japanese high school, I made my own lesson plans. My lessons were conducted in a very relaxing yet stimulating environment. My lessons were very practical; students were able to practice speaking, reading, listening and writing in topics that are related to their interests and daily life experiences.
