Hi! I'm Jess. I'm originally from California, but I live in Uruguay now. I am a US native and citizen. I love teaching conversational English, sharing my culture, and being inclusive with my lessons. Each lesson is personalized to your needs. I write scripts and can base lessons around scripts (especially if you love to act/roleplay). I use songs and film clips as much as possible as they are fun and can be a great way to remember what you learn. I aim for each lesson to be fun and creative. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment as learning English should not be stressful. As I aim to be inclusive, I often include the LGBTQ+ community, non-stereotypical gender roles, many races/ethnicities, etc. I recognize some students may have more conservative views, so please inform me ahead of time if there is anything off limits. If you need to cancel a class, please notify me at least 12 hours in advance. If you cannot within that time frame, please notify me as soon as possible.
