I believe physics is more than equations — it’s a way to understand the world. With over 5 years of teaching experience, a physics degree from New Mexico Tech, and ongoing master’s research at NTNU, I help students see patterns, think critically, and gain confidence. My classes combine clear explanations, problem-solving strategies, and real-world examples. Whether you’re aiming for IB, AP, IFY, or local exams, I’ll help you master the concepts and show you that physics can actually be fun. Most importantly, I’ll help you learn how to learn — so you don’t just memorize formulas, but understand why they work.
📚 Course Minimums & Huge Pluses
At minimum, I’ll make sure you gain full conceptual clarity, improve problem-solving speed, and learn how to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence. You’ll develop strong mathematical reasoning, learn how to write out clean, clear solutions, and understand the importance of showing your work. Huge pluses: if you’re curious, I’ll show you how physics connects to the universe, philosophy, and even daily life. Want to explore special relativity, quantum puzzles, or how things actually work in nature? We can. I’ll tailor lessons to your interests once your fundamentals are solid.
📝 Classroom Rules
I expect curiosity, consistency, and respect. You don’t need to be perfect — just willing to think and try. Come prepared with questions; no question is too simple or too big. Be on time, show your work, and complete practice problems on schedule. Communication is key: if you’re confused, speak up! I’m here to help, but success comes from effort on both sides. Finally, be kind to yourself; physics can be challenging, but with persistence (and the right guidance), you’ll be amazed at what you can do.
