🌺🌺🌺Since I came to the United States when I was 13 years old, my English has reached a native level. but
🌸English is my third language, and in my country, I had hard experience learning it. In September 2021, my family and I moved to Los Angeles, and I started facing lots of challenges. Especially the language barrier.
🌸 I was first introduced to ESL class when I just moved to the US in September 2021. I had some knowledge of English, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to fluently express myself, so school just classified me to an ESL class. That was an amazing experience, being in a class with so many students from diverse backgrounds. I struggled at first, but then in about six months I was able to express myself. After a year I was fully able to express myself, write, read, and listen in English.
🌸🌸🌸From ESL student to ESL tutor
🌸During the time I was in ESL class, I developed some good studying methods, which helped me on my way. When I decided to become an ESL teacher, I knew exactly that I would be helping students who face difficulties learning English. I developed some unique methods that even root back to the time when I was in my country. I remember using a variety of diagrams in school, which later I started using as a tutor. So, when you think of interactive learning, that is the key to success.
🌸🌸🌸Work Experience
🌸I have pretty diverse work experience. From actress to model to volunteer to ESL tutor. I cannot tell exact years or dates when, but as a child, I was so passionate about working and building a good career that my mother registered me in a casting agency. Soon after I got many offers and I acted in many ads and posed for posters. That was my experience as a child.
🌸Growing up, my mother took me to my first actual responsible job, volunteering. I loved working in an Armenian school, helping teachers and principle. That was something I enjoyed a lot. Working with kids is something I love a lot. However, it was temporary, so after some time I finished my volunteering there.
