Solid learning journey

Since 2017, I have started working in Tokyo and in 2018, I made the move with my family. Like most of the Hongkongers, I could only speak Cantonese and English at that point of time. Because of work and family, I could only learn Japanese part-time by Japanese teachers who usually teach westerners.

Over 2 years, I found the pace of learning was really disappointing. I thought that would have been much more effective if I was taught by Cantonese teacher as westerners' language are fundamentally different. He or she would understand which area we have to pay more attention to and which do not.

In September 2000, I was so lucky knowing Kuma and started a solid journey in learning Japanese via Amazing Talker. Kuma is native in Cantonese speaker teaching Japanese. Our lesson was as efficient as I though and with the flexible class time, I could utilize my time a lot no matter day time or night time. In July, the N3 test came after I have had 50 lessons. The result is not known yet but I am confident to achieve good result. From what I usually heard, most students took classes at least 3 hours per day 3 days per week for a year to take this test.

Besides the test, I am also applying what I have learned in my daily living. I found myself having significant improvements in reading, listening and writing. I plan to keep it up and I enjoy it very much!
