The language learning journey of an innocent angel

In the olden days, an 11 years old boy paved his path from a dorp to a town just because he got the passion to learn something, something uncommon in his village. I, Asadullah, is that virtuous, little guy who dedicated himself to learning the English language among the townspeople. When I was of 11 years, my instinct always compelled me to do something beneficial for the people around me and my own sake. I used to take a keen interest in the English language at such young age as the people speaking the English language attracted me. I made this decision as deep inside I wanted to go abroad for higher studies as well.
At that time, there were only a few institutions teaching English. Most of the people and my childhood friends were not aware of the English language, which is one of the international languages. I not only wanted to take a good step for myself but I was desperately willing to make a way for something new, in my small town. As education was not common at that time, I faced the issue of getting into an institute to learn this language. The institute present in my village boundaries was offering only a single course relevant to my interest. So, I happened to take my passion seriously and followed it by attending that available English language course.
It was laborious for me to go to the school by walking 3 km from my hometown and walking back 3 km to get home, every single day. I had to accept this tiring journey as I was available with no transport means that could have made it easy for me to touch the sky.
At first, this language was something cranky for me but with time as I kept on investing 4 hours daily in learning it, I started to become familiar with the sentence structure and vocabulary used in day to day life of this distinctive language. I was just getting familiar with the basics of this language but I knew it would take more of my efforts and time to achieve the desired goals. As a result of my profound heed, I started to approach native English men in America. I asked them to support and solve the problems I and my townspeople were facing regarding the English language.
At the age of 14, I moved to the city after 4 years of taking this courageous step towards my passion. I never felt the urge to drop this ambition so I continued my learning journey in the town. For about 10 months, I wholeheartedly dedicated myself to this learning process.
After 1 year of moving into the town, I started to pull my socks up to upgrade my vocabulary. In 2014, I enrolled myself in other courses as well to gain more worldly information. Struggling with these factors alongside, my luck smiled at me and I found native speakers from the United States who were kind enough to support me throughout this process. That was the lady from the US married to a man, who happened to be my mentor. They supported my vision a lot and I am unable to thank them enough.
Later on, both of them came to Afghanistan and started to serve as teachers in a college. The lady was teaching the English language in the college and I also attended her classes. I benefited from their company for only 5 months as they had to leave after 1 year. With that, my other exceptional experience with native English people came to an end.
Back in 2016, I took an English language course at the American University of Afghanistan to enhance my skill. Within 3 months, I achieved success in middle-level completion. I learned a lot from the native English teachers serving in the institute.
After completing the intermediate level, I reformed the learning process by taking the upper intermediate level course. After the mysterious abduction of one of the university teachers, students were insisted to leave the university.
I studied at the American University of Afghanistan for 3 years and am still paving the way towards my aim by getting benefits from my assiduous teachers. In few years, I see myself helping people of my hometown and my beloved country. For academic success, I am looking forward to study in the United States or any other English medium countries as I will also be working hard to get 7 bands in IELTS.
It was my townspeople and my beloved mother who supported me and gave wings to my decision. My mother rooted for me like no one else. Now, all I want to do is to spread the knowledge that I gained after facing so many difficulties to other people by offering them my teaching services. I am going to give my best to save other young children from the sufferings and hurdles I faced in the way of my ambitions and goals.
