She asked me some questions in Vietnamese which I answered without any problem. She read a paragraph about a mother and daughter shopping in the supermarket. I think that she is an excellent teacher and would be a great asset in my learning Vietnamese.

Worked on the pronunciation. I have been learning northern accent and she has been speaking southern accent so I did not understand some words. She said that I have to work on my pronunciation to understand and be understood.

After completing the course, I think Linh is an enthusiastic teacher who can remind me how to learn Vietnamese language more effectively. For instance, writing assists us to remember something more easily. When students were encountering difficulties, Linh would help them as best as she can. Therefore, Linh is a good teacher for beginners.

I just did a trial lesson with Linh and am very excited to begin learning Vietnamese! She is very easy to understand and excellent at explaining the correct tongue and jaw placement for sounds unfamiliar to English speakers, and was so patient with interruptions from my toddler during this first class. Definitely recommend as an instructor!

Had some issues with her. She wasn't very happy with the examples she asked me to do and asked me to keep trying to make new sentences the right way but she was not happy with the sentences I gave. She asks me to keep trying and I told her that that is why I am a student instead of her helping rather than criticizing me.She spent about 20 minutes on the same topic. I finally gave up and told her how I feel. She said with my attitude , I am the wrong student for her. So I am going to switch to my other tutor who is more compatible with me.

I can strongly recommend Linh. She made a Program adapted to my needs. Linh is very friendly, motivated, and creative. It is fun to learn from her and her Program works with me. She helps to fill the gaps and corrects mistakes so well, that you would not forget it anymore. I find her classes to be a perfect balance between structure and flexibility. Looking forward to the next sessions.

He prepared a series of questions for me to answer in Vietnamese and we worked on the proper pronounciation. I noticed that he has a Southern accent. He is very helpful and could help me improve my Vietnamese.

I had a really good lesson focusing on pronounciation in Vietnamese. I have been learning Vietnamese for a while now, but this was the first lesson I have had primarily on pronounciation and it was truly eye-opening. Everythjng was expained very clearly and everytime I made a mistake it was corrected with precision. She also spoke very clearly and has a nice voice to listen too during the lesson. I hadn't realised my pronoinciation needed that much work before the lesson so would definitely recommend.

Yen Tran is a good teacher. The first lesson was a conversation about two friends going to the airport. She translated the conversation and introduce some grammar . Overall a good lesson.

Linh has been great to work with. The lessons are catered to students based off of what would be most beneficial to the students. As I am learning to speak Vietnamese to be able to communicate with family, Linh shows me how to say common words and how to have a flowing conversational. Linh also requests videos and audio post-class to ensure students are practicing speaking the language. She is great!

I think the most difficult part of learning Vietnamese is the pronunciation. Truong An pays very close attention to this and has a bagful of exercises to practice with. If anyone can help you develop or correct your pronunciation, it's him.

Emily was a very good teacher, very patient with my lack of my Vietnamese skills and taught me the different sounds in the language. She was fluent in a English and made the lesson fun and interactive. She set me some homework and it was not too difficult for me to complete. I recommend this teacher very highly and I will be using her again.

Emily's personality made me feel comfortable taking my first Vietnamese lesson. She has clearly been a teacher for a long time and her experience shows in how well organized she is. She handled special requests well and was able to tailor the lesson to meet my needs. I feel comfortable that with a few more lessons, I'll be ready for my trip to Vietnam!

Great lesson. I think the pronunciation sections are really well made and well thought out. Before I started working with you I was not at all confident about making the right sounds. I feel like I have the tools to really work on my pronunciation well now. Have a good day Lily:)

Today we talked about making chả giò (nem) which I found amusing since I enjoy cooking myself. I learned vocabulary words to use in the kitchen also tips on how to make the nem crispy! I really enjoy how Chị Yến makes the effort to switch things up, making our lessons entertaining and educational.

However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
