Wonderful lesson! She was able to explain the grammar very well and used lots of wonderful examples for me to not only remember the grammar/vocabulary but know how to use it. I really wanted to focus on my tones and in the reading passage, she corrected me which helped me to be better. She also pointed out if anything was said only in Taiwan or how it's said in China. I really enjoyed our lesson together! Looking forward to the next one :)

Classes are very interactive and casual. Chen laoshi is very patient and teaches very well. Notes and review after class are also useful and I've learnt a good amount of new vocabulary. The lessons use a lot of active recalling which is helpful for understanding vocabulary and sentence structures in the long term.

We learned in class that there is website to help with your chinese and review what everything is. I like the teaching method because in the website it has different levels and how advance they are too. That learning works for me because i am watching something. She has always helped me in different ways, she makes teaching really fun and not just review and talk back and repeat.

It was nice to be able to learn about 4 tones that I had trouble learning when I first started learning Chinese. Her teaching method was fun and easy to follow, and the materials she prepared were good too.

Ellen is the best teacher I can wish for. She is very passionate and enthusiastic about teaching. I am a beginner and sometimes my pronunciation is not so good but she is very patient in fixing it.
