I have to say the road to becoming a polyglot has been a lonely one. For those who don't know what a polyglot is, it is a person who knows and can use several languages. I grew up speaking Punjabi, English, and Hindi, so gear-switching to another language isn't something new to me. But I must say when you are exposed to a brand new language as a full-fledged adult, the learning curve can be steep.

I got exposed to the beautiful language of Korean through k-dramas, which is what ultimately piqued my interest in wanting to learn more. Even though I was consuming hours of Korean content whether that be music, tv shows, or movies daily, I didn't retain anything other than “hello”, “goodnight”, “I love you”, and “did you eat?”.

Ready to learn more, I got introduced to Amazing Talker through an ad on Instagram (kudos to the digital marketing team). I was curious and wanted to learn more, the trial lessons are a great way to find a tutor that fits exactly your learning style and your specific goals. After a couple of trial lessons, I found Bibi! Bibi has been an amazing teacher and cheerleader. I have learned so much through our lessons so far, she assigns me homework, and even quizzes me. It gives me a sense of motivation to carry on learning Korean because I know I have someone to guide me through it. I am so excited to continue my lessons and one-day watch k-dramas without subtitles!
