벌써 마리안 선생님과 수업한지 6개월이 됐네요.
친하게 지내는 친구 맘 소개로 AT에서 스페인어 수업 시작하게 되었어요.


학원 수업도 하고 있었지만 뭘 배우고 오는지도 잘모르겠고 저도 의무적으로 다니는것 같아 걱정하던 차에,
친한 맘 소개 받고 미리안 쌤 수업을 추가 했습니다.


저는 어느날부터 먼저 와서 선생님을 기다리고,
수업시간이 점점 짧아지는것 같다고 벌써 6개월째 수업중이네요.


아직도 많이 부족한 스페인어지만 되던 안되던 미리안 선생님과 즐겁게 수업하는 건 일단 스페인어 울렁증은 없겠구나 생각듭니다.

이제 저도 수업을 능동적으로 재미있게 적극적으로 하는 모습이 됐네요.

Why is a learning experience in education so important? First of all, knowing how to speak a language is not the same as knowing how to explain it to a beginner who knows nothing about it. For example, if you ask any native speaker about the many tenses of a Latin language, they may not be able to answer you. There are also some verb changes, why are there some irregular changes? Again, most people don't understand and don't care.
Especially when it comes to pronunciation. If you don't know how to explain how to pronounce each sound, it is likely that students will only learn a sound similar to the target pronunciation, but not the correct way to pronounce it. So can a teacher of phonetics and phonology teach the part of pronunciation and learn it 100% well? Not necessarily. A "researcher" is not a "professor", and using a professional approach to teaching may be counterproductive for non-expert students.
What I have mentioned is only one aspect of pronunciation. In every part of the educational process, teachers in the Department of Education have more teaching methods than non-professional teachers, and they have more professional solutions and guidance for different types of students and various learning frustrations.
This is why I recommend Mr. Marián. I could feel the professionalism of the teacher during our first trial class. Marián began by showing me a video of me describing the scenes, the actions of the characters, and the costumes. It sounded so simple, but I realized that my vocabulary was not up to the task of describing a mediocre scene. I learned a lot of words as the teacher kept adding and explaining, and Marián would expand on the words or the content of the film. The movie was only two or three minutes long, but the learning process was actually enriching for several lessons. Even though I always had trouble remembering the words, through each review and practice, I can now easily remember the content of the video and relate it to the words. This is much more efficient than simply reading the glossary and memorizing it, or reading the text and memorizing the words. It is also very difficult to forget.
The teacher used many pedagogical techniques in this process, including visual stimulation to improve the students' memory efficiency. This is the way I want to learn, and I can learn more in the same amount of time than in other courses. I think it was thanks to Marián's master's degree at UAM (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and his experience as a Spanish teaching assistant at the university that I was able to make a breakthrough in my language learning. Not to mention that I could apply the same method to other areas of study.
Marián also gave me a thorough explanation of the rules of accentuation and pronunciation in Spanish. Since I am not a beginner, my teacher taught me in a slightly different way, focusing on the details that intermediate and advanced learners need to pay attention to. I was not averse to using specialized vocabulary to learn linguistics-related content. All in all, Marián's classes are always in-depth and easy to understand, which makes me feel like I can get twice the result with half the effort.
If you are hesitant to learn a new language, or are unsure of what kind of teacher to choose, Marián is definitely the best choice.
