My Thai journey

My journey to Thai began with the realisation that I didn't really know much about Thailand and decided it was time to remedy that. Listening to the adventures of my well travelled friends. of being perpetual travellers didn't entirely satisfy me, though my interest was certainly piqued, and I realised I would have to go on a journey of my own, a journey to learn all things Thai and would need the aid of a teacher to achieve that goal.

Once I found the Amazing Talker website and sent out the reach out request of help on my learning journey. I was lucky to find kru Prae, who was one of the first to reach out to my request for help on my learning journey and soon signed up for my first class.

It was during this initial first class that I discovered that I liked the playful quality that the Thai language has and I knew I'd enjoy continuing learning more about the fascinating language and culture that magical beautiful Thailand has.

Class always has a very relaxed and informal feel akin to a chat with a good friend. Kru Prae is certainly my greatest ally in learning all things Thai as she is so kind, gentle and pleasant towards me but has a steely determination to help me on my Thai journey. I am often surprised at just how much I actually learn, despite the informal approach to learning the class has

I've been studying for a little over a year now, on continued regular classes as well as doing private study between classes. I have grown a lot in confidence with the Thai language and I have learned a lot about culture and lifestyle of magical Thailand

My wise mentor, Kru Prae, is always so helpful and she is always happy to answer the many many questions I often ask about Thai culture, etiquette and lifestyle. I know I still have a lot to learn before I reach fluency but I will get there eventually with my own eagerness to learn and the guidance of my kindly teacher
