My talking kitten

On my fifth birthday, I wanted a rabbit as my birthday present so my parents took me to the pet shop nearby. I was waiting in the pet shop while my father was talking to the shopkeeper.
Suddenly, I heard someone say 'Hello' to me. I looked around immediately. There was nobody beside me. Then, I heard someone say 'Good afternoon. I looked at the little kitten who was in the pet shop. 'Are you talking to me?' I asked the kitten. 'Yes,' answered the kitten. I was shocked. How can a cat talk like a human?
I ran to my father and pointed at the kitten. I yelled, "There is a talking cat!" My father replied to me calmly, "Don't you know every cat can talk?" "But it is speaking English!' I shouted.
Then, I took my father to the kitten and said,' Dad, try to talk to the cat!' My father said to the kitten,' Hello, how are you?'
However, the kitten said nothing. 'See, it is just a normal cat. Let's go to the rabbit section to choose your rabbit.'
After that, I pointed to the kitten and said,' I want this kitten as my birthday present, can I?' From that day on, I have a talking cat as my pet.

I named the talking kitten Noisy because it talked a lot. I enjoyed talking to Noisy because I had no siblings. Every day after school, I shared my secrets and happiness with Noisy. Noisy was intelligent. She always gave me some good opinions and suggestions. I was pleased to have such a smart cat.

One day, my class teacher asked me to join a storytelling competition. The winner would get one thousand dollars as a prize. I must win it because I wanted to buy a computer game. I wrote a splendid, wonderful, amazing, creative story and I practiced telling the story one hundred times. I thought I must be the winner.
On the day before the competition, I had a sore throat. Every time I talked, my throat was in pain, like there was a needle in my throat. I ate some honey and the throat lozenges, but they didn't help. Finally, I lost my voice.
I was very upset. I made so much effort in this competition, however, I lost my voice. I started to cry. Noisy came and sat beside me. 'What happened to you?' asked Noisy. I wanted to tell Noisy how miserable I am but I could not.
'You can write it down to let me know,' suggested Noisy. 'Oh! Noisy not only can talk, but it can also read too. What a clever kitten!' I thought. Suddenly, a bright idea came to my mind.

On the day of the competition, I put a hoodie on Noisy. I held Noisy with my left hand and I put my right hand inside the back of the hoodie, pretending Noisy was a puppet.
I got on the stage. Then, Noisy the puppet started to tell the story.
After I finished telling the story, everybody clapped their hands vigorously. The judges thought the story was very interesting and my presentation was very special. Therefore, I've won the competition. I was very delighted.
I am glad that Noisy is my pet. I promise I will love it forever.
